It's time to print your design onto sublimation paper once you have it. To print with sublimation, you must use sublimation ink and paper; ordinary ink and paper will not work.
Make care to horizontally mirror your design before printing. This is crucial because if you don't mirror the design before applying it to the tumbler, it will seem reversed.
Now that you have your design printed on sublimation paper, it's time to wrap the tumbler with the paper. Make sure that the paper is wrapped tightly around the tumbler, and secure it with heat-resistant tape. This will ensure that the design is transferred evenly onto the tumbler.
Heat pressing the tumbler is necessary once it has been covered in the sublimation paper. For this phase, a sublimation heat press is required; a standard heat press will not work.
For the sort of tumbler you're using, set the heat press's temperature and timing accordingly. An aluminum tumbler, for instance, might need to be heated to a greater temperature for a longer period of time. The suggested temperature and time should be found in the manufacturer's instructions.
Place the tumbler within the heated heat press and apply pressure. Firmly press down on the tumbler, then wait the allotted amount of time before releasing the pressure and taking it from the heat press.
The sublimation paper needs to be taken off the tumbler once it has been heat-pressed. Your lovely, personalized sublimation tumbler will become visible after you carefully peel off the paper.
The process of creating your own sublimation tumblers can be enjoyable and gratifying. You can make lovely, personalized tumblers for yourself, friends, or family by following this detailed instruction. Use sublimation paper and ink, and be sure to mirror your design before printing. You can quickly become an expert at creating sublimation tumblers with a little practice.
